Ferme de Cassis is a black currant farmhouse ale that we ferment in our oak foeder with our house culture of wild and traditional yeast. This beer starts off with a base of floor malted pilsner barley and malted spelt, and is enhanced with a small amount of special Belgian barley. A handful of hops are added for a touch of bitterness for balance. Our house culture leaves the beer with a farmhouse character and a dry finish, while the fermented black currant provides an earthy, tart flavor and rich color that is sure to catch the eye, as well as the taste buds
