Planted just north of the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas and east of downtown Ukiah (shoutout to Chavez Market Tacos for being a lifesaver),
this vineyard is steeped in history. Dry farmed without chemicals at the base of Enlightenment Mountain in gravelly volcanic soils,
we are thrilled by the balance and concentration we get from this site.
More classic than the wild 2018, this 2019 is the wine we have wanted to make from the very first time we walked this vineyard in 2014.

Fermented in Stainless Steel, Concrete & new Austrian Oak and neutral French Oak barrels
Aged in 80% neutral French Oak Barrels for 10 months
Aged in 20% new Austrian Oak Barrels (Stockinger) for 10 months

Tasting Note: Herbal aromas of Mirabelle plums, lemon, green apple and yellow currants.
The palate is zesty and concentrated with intense stone fruit flavors and ripe green apple flavors.
Long and polished, this is classic Chenin Blanc, gravelly and intense but with a streak of ripe fruit to hold it all together.
Absolutely gorgeous now, but surely to improve in the bottle for another 3-5 years as well.
